Preferred List of Palettes

What’s the main reason I love a good makeup palette? More bang for your buck! It is hard to know what colors will actually look good on you and it can be overwhelming and expensive to buy single eyeshadows, highlight, and bronzer.  It is also way more fun to have options of colors and finishes of matte, metallic and shimmer.

Palettes make great gifts for that makeup lover or if you are trying to build or start your collection, this is a great way to figure out what you like.

Check out 4 of my favorite palettes below that I use daily.

Anastasia Beverly Hills makes my favorite formula for highlight.  It is incredibly pigmented.  I currently use the Nicole Guerrero Glow Kit daily.  It is so beautiful from the packaging to the 6 shades included.  As you can see my favorite shade that I’ve already hit the pan on is Forever Young.

For a lush mixture of highlight and contour, I grab the Too Faced Coco Contour Palette.  They have a light and dark option.  Pictured is the light option.  For contouring, you do not need 6 different shades for yourself, unless you are a makeup artist doing makeup on many complexions.  This palette keeps it simple. One shade darker for when you are sun kissed and one shade lighter for when you are your fairest.  Pretty simple. I love the highlighter as well for right above the cheekbones and the pop of light shade for a matte finish under the eyes.

Biggest bonus of this palette?  It literally smells like chocolate!

For a wide variety of color options from natural to bright and bold the Morphe Jaclyn Hill Palette is perfection.  I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this as I am a huge Jaclyn fan!  I’ve learned quite a bit from her youtube channel.  Morphe in general is insanely affordable and all of their palettes are of high end quality.

This palette retails online for $38.  You can now get it at Ulta Beauty of Morphe.  It has a beautiful mixture of 35 matte, satin, and shimmer shades.

Last but not least, my all time favorite eyeshadow palette is hands down the Modern Renaissance by Anastasia Beverly Hills.  I do not have one negative thing to say about it.  The colors are so beautiful for everyday and you can build upon them and blend them so easily for a more dramatic look as well.  The formula to me feels incredibly high end and a lot goes a long way.
